Oxford Street Bulimba Marketing’s Founding Director, Nicole Hansson, has been appointed General Secretary (volunteer role) of the Bulimba District Historical Society, an organisation in her local neighbourhood where she has been a member since 2012.
Nicole has long been passionate about history — the stories, people, places, and structures that shape a community’s identity, and endure across generations. Preserving and interpreting local stories strengthens community belonging, enriches the experience for visitors, supports the visitor economy, and helps local businesses, and broader economic prosperity.
The Bulimba District Historical Society is dedicated to sourcing, preserving, and sharing the rich heritage of Bulimba and the surrounding Brisbane area. Nicole considers it a privilege to contribute to preserving and sharing that local history through this contribution.
