Oxford Street Bulimba, and beyond, is positioned on the Brisbane River, and is seamlessly connected to the wider city by an integrated network of CityCat catamarans, cross-river ferries and bus services operated by TransLink in partnership with Brisbane City Council.
CityCat and Ferry Terminals Key terminals at Gordon Street Hawthorne, Oxford Street Bulimba and Apollo Road Bulimba link residents and visitors to the river network. The all-stops CityCat (F1) service runs daily from around 5:25 am until just after midnight between UQ St Lucia and Northshore Hamilton, with peak-hour express CityCats offering faster travel to major inner-city jetties.
Cross-River Ferry (F21) The Bulimba–Teneriffe cross-river ferry shuttles every 15 minutes, providing a five-minute connection between Oxford Street Bulimba and Commercial Road Teneriffe. This cashless service uses TransLink’s Go Card system and operates throughout most of the day.
Bus Services Route 230 (Balmoral–City via Riding Road) serves over 35 stops along Riding Road, Oxford Street Bulimba, and the CBD. Buses run seven days a week, departing roughly every 30 minutes on weekdays and offering regular weekend frequencies to suit local commuters and shoppers.
For up-to-the-minute timetables, real-time departures and fare information, travellers can plan their journey using TransLink’s online journey planner and Go Card platform.
